So, we've made it through to the end of January, and as we recover from or post-christmas blues, we here at LFI can look over a month of consolidation for the company. Much like the football transfer window, January has seen London Features bring in a few new faces to help cover a broader range of photography. We have added some skilled music, red carpet and news shooters to bolster our ranks. In fact, no fewer than 12 new snappers have come through the doors at LFI. There have also been some great studio sets, an element to our game that we really want to expand in 2009. A stretching of LFI's opening hours from 6.30 am to 8 pm has given us a real edge on delivery of images, this has been reflected in a boost in our newspaper and magazine hit rate. We really want to make 2009 "squeaky bum time" for our competitors
Whilst we failed in our bid to sign Kaka from AC, we can announce a new partnership with Italian agent Infophoto, providing a very welcome expansion in European content. Our clients can look forward to some great coverage of Milan Fashion Week and, of course, David Beckham-watch, let's see if the fashion houses of Milan can forgive his sarong-wearing past and welcome him and Victoria with open arms. Watch this space for news on new partnerships in 2009, particularly in the US.
February is an exciting month for any picture agency. London plays host to the BAFTA's, London Fashion Week and the NME Music Awards, whilst accross the pond we can expect some great coverage of the Grammy's, Superbowl 2009 and, of course, the Oscars. We at LFI are particularly looking forward to this years BRIT Awards on the 18th, we'll have unprecedented coverage of the arrivals, show and all the backstage drama, so look out for some great pics of the years biggest bash.
